Peach Cobbler With Praline Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c water
  • 8 c sliced peaches
  • 3 Tbsp oleo
  • 14 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 c chopped nuts
  • 34 c buttermilk
  • 2 c self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 12 c shortening

Directions

  1. Bring to boil 1 12 cups sugar cornstarch fruit cinnamon and 1 cup water
  2. Cook 1 minute stirring often
  3. Pour into casserole 9 x 13 x 2-inch
  4. Mix 3 tablespoons oleo brown sugar and nuts set aside
  5. Combine flour sugar shortening and buttermilk
  6. Stir until moistened
  7. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times
  8. Roll dough to approximately 12 x 8-inch
  9. Spread with pecan mixture
  10. Roll up like a jelly roll slice
  11. Place slices atop fruit mixture and bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes
