Peach Puff Pie
Ingredients
- 13 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 12 tsp grated lemon rind
- 1 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 14 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1 9-inch pastry shell
- 2 c sliced fresh peaches
Directions
- Sift the flour baking powder and salt together
- Cream the butter and 12 cup of the sugar add beaten eggs gradually and then the grated lemon rind
- Add flour and milk alternately
- Put peaches into the pastry shell sprinkle the remaining 12 cup of sugar
- Spread batter over the peaches and bake in a 375 oven for 20 minutes
- Reduce the oven temperature to 350 and bake for an additional 20 minutes
