Peach Puff Pie

Ingredients

  • 13 c butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 12 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 9-inch pastry shell
  • 2 c sliced fresh peaches

Directions

  1. Sift the flour baking powder and salt together
  2. Cream the butter and 12 cup of the sugar add beaten eggs gradually and then the grated lemon rind
  3. Add flour and milk alternately
  4. Put peaches into the pastry shell sprinkle the remaining 12 cup of sugar
  5. Spread batter over the peaches and bake in a 375 oven for 20 minutes
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 and bake for an additional 20 minutes
