Peanut Blossoms Cookies

Ingredients

• 12 c shortening
• 34 c creamy peanut butter
• 12 c granulated sugar
• 13 c packed light brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 Tbsp milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 12 c all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 34 c 10 oz pkg Hersheys mini kisses
• additional granulated sugar

Directions

1. Heat oven to 375
2. Beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended
3. Add 1 12 cups sugar and brown sugar beat until fluffy
4. Add egg milk and vanilla beat well
5. Combine flour baking soda and salt gradually add to peanut mixture beating until well blended
6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls
7. Roll in granulated sugar
8. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
9. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned
10. Place 3 mini kisses on each cookie pressing down lightly
11. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
