Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c shortening
• 1 c brown sugar
• 34 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 c peanut butter
• 2 c flour
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 12 c oatmeal quick or old-fashioned

Directions

1. Beat shortening and sugars together until creamy
2. Add eggs and peanut butter beat well
3. Sift together flour soda and salt add to creamed mixture mixing well
4. Stir in oats
5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls
6. Place on ungreased cookie sheets
7. Press with tines of fork and crisscross
8. Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes
9. Makes 6 dozen
