Pear And Sour Cherry Crisp

Ingredients
- 1 12 c flour
- 1 c sugar divided 13 and 23
- 34 tsp salt
- 34 tsp nutmeg
- 9 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 lb pears about 4 large
- 16 oz can pitted tart cherries in juice
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 14 tsp almond extract
Directions
- Heat oven to 375
- Combine flour 13 cup sugar salt and nutmeg
- Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly
- Peel and core pears and cut into chunks
- Drain cherries
- Combine pears and cherries with remaining 23 cup sugar cornstarch and almond extract
- Put fruit mixture in a 2-quart baking dish
- Sprinkle crumb topping over fruit
- Bake until golden about 1 hour
