Pear Pie
Ingredients
- 6 c peeled and sliced fresh pears
- 34 c sugar
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp nutmeg or cinnamon
- butter or margarine
- pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
Directions
- Mix pear slices with sugar rind juice and spice
- Arrange in a 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- Dot with butter
- Cover with top crust
- Slit pastry to allow steam to escape
- Bake at 375 for 40 to 60 minutes
