Pear Preserves Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c butter softened
• 2 c sugar
• 5 eggs separated
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 c buttermilk
• 3 c all-purpose flour divided
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp ground allspice
• 1 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1 c chopped pecans
• 1 c pear preserves

Directions

1. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl
2. Gradually add sugar beating until light and fluffy
3. Add egg yolks and beat well
