Pecan Cake

Pecan Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves ground
  • 1 c buttermilk

Directions

  1. Cream butter add sugar and beat until fluffy
  2. Add beaten eggs
  3. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to butter mixture
  4. Fold in pecans
  5. Bake in a well-greased lightly floured tube pan 9-inch
  6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until straw inserted comes out clean
  7. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing
  8. This can be baked and stored for a couple of days
  9. Keep cool
