Pecan Honeymoon Squares

Ingredients

  • 12 c Crisco
  • 12 c brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 c flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 12 tsp baking powder
  • 1 13 c flaked coconut
  • 1 c pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Blend Crisco and 12 cup brown sugar Add 1 cup flour and salt
  3. Stir in milk
  4. Pat evenly in greased pan
  5. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until light brown
  6. Beat eggs 1 cup brown sugar and vanilla until thick
  7. Stir in remaining ingredients
  8. Pour mixture in pan
  9. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until brown
  10. Cool
  11. Frost and garnish with cherries if desired Cut into squares
