Pecan Sandies

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter
  • 13 c sugar
  • 2 tsp water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar Add water and vanilla Mix well Blend in flour salt and nuts Chill for 4 hours
  2. Shape into crescents or fingers using about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes Remove from pan
  3. Cool slightly
  4. Dust with powdered sugar
  5. Makes about 3 dozen cookies
