Pecan Tarts
Ingredients
- 1 c brown sugar
- 12 c hot water
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 12 Tbsp flour
- 1 c milk
- 18 tsp salt
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
Directions
- Boil together the brown sugar and hot water for 10 minutes Cool and add the butter flour milk salt and eggs
- Cook all together in a double boiler until thick and smooth stirring constantly
- Cool and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 12 cup pecan meats chopped
- Put 2 tablespoons of mixture in prepared baked tart shells
- Garnish with 12 cup whipped cream sweetened with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and put a whole pecan on top
- Fills about 1 dozen shells
