Pecan Tarts
Ingredients
- 1 pkg 3 oz cream cheese softened
- 12 c butter or margarine softened
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 34 c brown sugar packed
- 1 Tbsp margarine melted
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 c coarsely chopped pecans
Directions
- Blend cream cheese and 12 cup butter
- Stir in flour and chill 1 hour
- Heat oven to 325
- Roll dough into 24 1-inch balls and press into 1 12-inch muffin tins
- Beat egg brown sugar 1 tablespoon butter vanilla and salt together
- Sprinkle 12 cup pecans on dough in tins
- Add egg mixture and sprinkle with remaining nuts
- Bake at 325 about 25 minutes or until set
- Cool in pans
- Makes 24 tarts
