Pecan Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 12 c hot water
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 12 Tbsp flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten

Directions

  1. Boil together the brown sugar and hot water for 10 minutes Cool and add the butter flour milk salt and eggs
  2. Cook all together in a double boiler until thick and smooth stirring constantly
  3. Cool and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 12 cup pecan meats chopped
  4. Put 2 tablespoons of mixture in prepared baked tart shells
  5. Garnish with 12 cup whipped cream sweetened with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and put a whole pecan on top
  6. Fills about 1 dozen shells
  7. Delicious
