Penne Gold
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 slice pancetta Italian bacon or Prosciutto Italian ham
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 35 oz can Italian peeled plum tomatoes with juice
- salt to taste
- 1 shake dried red pepper flakes
- 1 lb penne
- 12 c grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Brown pancetta and garlic in olive oil over medium heat in a large frying pan 7 minutes
- Add tomatoes with liquid salt and pepper flakes and boil breaking up tomatoes for 30 minutes or until thick stirring frequently
- Cook penne in large pot of boiling water until al dente
- Drain pasta
- Put back in pot
- Add sauce and mix to coat
- Add cheese mix well
- Serve
