Penne With Tomato Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 28 oz can Italian plum tomatoes with juice
- 1 c heavy cream
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 12 tsp dried tarragon
- 1 lb penne
- 6 Tbsp Parmesan cheese fresh grated
- 1 lb sausage sweet or hot casings discarded
Directions
- Brown sausage meat put aside
- In a heavy saucepan combine the tomatoes with juice cream garlic and tarragon bring the liquid to a boil breaking up the tomatoes
- Add sausage simmer mixture for 25 to 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened
- Cook penne 12 to 15 minutes in boiling water drain well
- Toss with tomato sauce
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve
