Pennsylvania Dutch Hot Salad Or Dandelion Dressing

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 14 to 12 c vinegar
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 c water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • few strips of crisp bacon some drippings can be added for flavor

Directions

  1. Mix eggs slightly
  2. Add sugar and vinegar
  3. Mix with some water add remaining water
  4. Mix again slightly
  5. Cook over low burner so it does not curdle
  6. If it should curdle beat
  7. You can use 3 eggs or two eggs and then thicken with flour or cornstarch 1 tablespoon to an egg
