Pennsylvania Dutch Pepper Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 lb cabbage finely shredded
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 carrot or red pepper chopped
- 1 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 c water
- 12 c vinegar
Directions
- In a mixing bowl combine cabbage celery and peppers
- In a small bowl combine sugar salt water and vinegar
- Taste mixture to be sure you have enough vinegar
- Pour over vegetables and toss
- Makes 6 to 8 servings
- Easy to do even better the next day
