Pepper Steak And Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb sirloin steak cut into 18-inch thick strips
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 1 c sliced green onions with tops
  • 2 large fresh tomatoes diced
  • 2 green peppers cut into strips
  • 1 c beef broth
  • 14 c water
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce

Directions

  1. Sprinkle steak with paprika and set aside while preparing other ingredients
  2. Brown garlic in margarine and add steak onions and green peppers
  3. Continue cooking until vegetables are wilted
  4. Add tomatoes and broth
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat about 15 minutes
  6. Blend water with cornstarch and soy sauce Stir into steak
  7. Cook until thickened
  8. Serve over fluffy rice Makes 6 servings
