Pepper Steak And Rice
Ingredients
- 1 12 lb sirloin steak cut into 18-inch thick strips
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 2 Tbsp margarine
- 1 c sliced green onions with tops
- 2 large fresh tomatoes diced
- 2 green peppers cut into strips
- 1 c beef broth
- 14 c water
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
Directions
- Sprinkle steak with paprika and set aside while preparing other ingredients
- Brown garlic in margarine and add steak onions and green peppers
- Continue cooking until vegetables are wilted
- Add tomatoes and broth
- Cover and simmer on low heat about 15 minutes
- Blend water with cornstarch and soy sauce Stir into steak
- Cook until thickened
- Serve over fluffy rice Makes 6 servings
