Peppered Rib-Eye Steaks

Ingredients

  • 4 beef rib-eye steaks 1 12 inches thick
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dried ground thyme
  • 2 tsp dried ground oregano
  • 1 12 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp ground red pepper
  • orange slices optional
  • parsley sprigs optional

Directions

  1. Brush steaks lightly with olive oil
  2. In a small bowl combine all seasonings
  3. Sprinkle seasonings over steaks and press into both sides
  4. Cover and chill for 1 hour
  5. Grill steaks turning once over medium-hot coals 14 to 18 minutes for rare 18 to 22 minutes for medium 24 to 28 minutes for well done
  6. Place on a warm serving platter cut across the grain into thick slices Garnish with orange slices and parsley if desired
  7. Yields 8 servings
