Perpetual Pot Of Fruit With Rum Or Brandy

Ingredients
- 4 c water
- 4 c sugar
- 1 c fresh lemon juice
- 1 c rum or brandy
- assorted fruits
Directions
- Bring water and sugar to a boil stirring until sugar dissolves
- Simmer 15 minutes
- Cool
- Add lemon juice and rum or brandy or some of both
- Pour into a large container with cover Add fruit to the syrup making sure that the fruit is submerged Refrigerate replenishing as needed
- Keeps beautifully
