Persimmon Date Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 c persimmon pulp
- 2 c sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp nutmeg
- 14 tsp cloves
- 2 tsp grated orange peel
- 1 c chopped dates
- 1 c chopped nuts
Directions
- Cream butter
- Add sugar and beat well
- Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition
- Dissolve soda in persimmon pulp
- Mix into creamed ingredients
- Combine flour baking powder salt cinnamon nutmeg and cloves
- Stir into creamed mixture
