Persimmon Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c persimmon pulp
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 c sugar
  • 12 c shortening part butter or margarine
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 tsp cloves
  • 12 tsp nutmeg
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 c chopped nuts
  • 1 c raisins

Directions

  1. Beat thoroughly the persimmon pulp soda sugar and shortening until creamy Add egg Beat well Sift flour spices and salt Add dry ingredients with nuts and raisins
  2. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet Bake at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes
  3. Makes about 3 dozen cookies
