Pfeffernuesse
Ingredients
- 1 c shortening
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c dark syrup
- 1 c molasses
- 1 tsp soda dissolved in hot water
- 3 eggs
- 10 c flour
- 1 tsp pepper
Directions
- Mix above ingredients together
- Cool dough roll into long thin logs
- Chill
- Slice 14-inch thick
- Roll in white sugar lay on cookie sheet
- Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes
