Ingredients

  • 4 12 lbs ripe tomatoes scalded peeled and chopped
  • 3 mild green chilies chopped
  • 1 large Spanish onion chopped
  • 1 med green pepper chopped
  • 1 med red pepper chopped
  • 3-6 canned whole jal peppers chopped
  • 5 12 oz tomato paste
  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coarse pickling salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot Bring to boil cut down to medium Cook for 70 min Stir occasionally until thicker Makes 5 pints
