Picante Salsa

Ingredients
- 4 12 lbs ripe tomatoes scalded peeled and chopped
- 3 mild green chilies chopped
- 1 large Spanish onion chopped
- 1 med green pepper chopped
- 1 med red pepper chopped
- 3-6 canned whole jal peppers chopped
- 5 12 oz tomato paste
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon coarse pickling salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot Bring to boil cut down to medium Cook for 70 min Stir occasionally until thicker Makes 5 pints
