Pickled Okra

Ingredients

  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 6 pods hot pepper
  • 6 tsp dill seed
  • 3 tsp mustard seed
  • 1 qt vinegar
  • 1 c water
  • 12 c salt
  • small okra pods

Directions

  1. Scald 6 pint jars Bring vinegar water and salt to a boil Add garlic pepper dill and mustard
  2. Simmer 5 minutes
  3. Place small okra pods and spices evenly into scalded jars
  4. Pour liquid over okra and seal
  5. Let stand at least a week
