Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 13 c diced butter or margarine
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp ice water
  • 1 Tbsp sugar optional

Directions

  1. When preparing pie crust it is important that all ingredients are well chilled otherwise dough will be very sticky
  2. In large bowl combine flour and sugar if used
  3. Blend in butter with a knife until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  4. Add cold water and form into a ball
  5. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour
