Pie Crust RecipeMakes Top And Bottom Crusts For A 9-Inch Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 23 c Crisco shortening
  • 14 c water

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together with a pastry blender in a shallow bowl
  2. Work quickly dont mix too much
  3. Dough should still be crumbly
  4. Divide into 2 dough balls
  5. Roll out for top and bottom crusts
  6. For best results roll on pastry canvas sprinkled moderately with flour
  7. A cloth sleeve on the rolling pin helps too
  8. Roll outward from the center of the dough ball roll lightly in all directions
  9. Overworking crust will make it tough instead of flaky
