Pinakbet
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef cut into 1-inch cubes
- 12 c water
- 13 c bagoong
- 12 c sliced tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 slice ginger 14 x 1-inch crushed
- 1 pkg frozen okra 10 oz
- 14 tsp msg
- 1 big eggplant sliced 1-inch thick
- 1 medium size bitter-melon fresh or canned sliced 1-inch thick
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except eggplant bitter-melon and okra
- Bring to a boil
- Lower heat and simmer covered until beef is tender
- Add eggplant bitter-melon and okra cook for 15 minutes
- If using canned bitter-melon add last 3 minutes of cooking
