Pinwheel Date Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 3 c self-rising flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c brown sugar
- 1 c water
- 2 12 c dates chopped
- 1 c nuts
Directions
- To prepare filling cook brown sugar water and dates for 5 minutes then add nuts
- Allow to cool
- To prepare dough cream butter and sugar
- Add eggs then salt and flour mixing until dough like
- Roll out dough and spread on the filling as for jelly rolls
- Roll up chill slice and bake at 400 until done
