Pinwheel Date Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c butter
• 1 c sugar
• 2 eggs beaten
• 3 c self-rising flour
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 c brown sugar
• 1 c water
• 2 12 c dates chopped
• 1 c nuts

Directions

1. To prepare filling cook brown sugar water and dates for 5 minutes then add nuts
2. Allow to cool
3. To prepare dough cream butter and sugar
4. Add eggs then salt and flour mixing until dough like
5. Roll out dough and spread on the filling as for jelly rolls
6. Roll up chill slice and bake at 400 until done
