Pizzacato Pizza Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 lb sweet Italian sausage
- 1 lb shell macaroni
- 2 10 12 oz cans tomato puree
- 2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
- 14 c water
- 12 tsp garlic powder
- 12 tsp oregano
- 1 8 oz jar mushroom pieces optional
- 1 lb grated Mozzarella
Directions
- Prepare macaroni according to package directions
- Drain and set aside
- Take sausage out of casing and crumble
- Brown and drain off grease
- Stir in tomato puree sauce water mushrooms and seasonings
- Simmer 15 minutes
- Add cooked macaroni and stir well
- Put 13 of meat and macaroni mixture into a greased 3-quart casserole
- Sprinkle with 13 Mozzarella cheese
- Repeat with remaining 23
- Bake 15 minutes at 350
- Serves 8 to 10
