Polish Angel Wings Chrust
Ingredients
- 11 egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- 3 Tbsp vinegar
- 3 Tbsp liquor like whiskey or other keeps the grease out
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- vegetable oil for frying
- flour to make the batter
- powdered sugar
Directions
- Whip all ingredients except for vegetable oil flour and powdered sugar
- Slowly add flour until the batter is satiny Roll out on a well floured board the thinner the better
- Cut into long strips then cut strips into 4 to 5-inch strips
- Slit these strips in the center and pull one end through to make a bow tie
- Deep fry these about 6 to 8 at a time
- When golden remove from hot oil
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar
