Polish Angel Wings Chrust

Ingredients

  • 11 egg yolks
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 Tbsp vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp liquor like whiskey or other keeps the grease out
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • flour to make the batter
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Whip all ingredients except for vegetable oil flour and powdered sugar
  2. Slowly add flour until the batter is satiny Roll out on a well floured board the thinner the better
  3. Cut into long strips then cut strips into 4 to 5-inch strips
  4. Slit these strips in the center and pull one end through to make a bow tie
  5. Deep fry these about 6 to 8 at a time
  6. When golden remove from hot oil
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
  8. Enjoy
