Polish Sausage And Lentils

Ingredients

  • 1 c rinsed lentils
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 medium can tomatoes
  • 2 lb Polish sausage
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. Rinse lentils
  2. Put in large saucepan with salted water to cover and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes or until tender and still holding shape
  3. Drain and reserve liquid
