Polka Dot Cake

Ingredients
- 1 14 c chopped dates
- 34 c softened butter
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 c chopped nuts
- 1 c hot water
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 6 oz chocolate chips
Directions
- Mix dates and hot water
- Let cool
- Cream butter and sugar then beat in eggs
- Sift dry ingredients and add to cream mixture Add dates vanilla and 12 cup chocolate chips
- Spread batter in greased pan
- Top with remaining chocolate chips and nuts
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
