Polka Dot Cake

Ingredients

• 1 14 c chopped dates
• 34 c softened butter
• 2 c flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 12 c chopped nuts
• 1 c hot water
• 1 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 6 oz chocolate chips

Directions

1. Mix dates and hot water
2. Let cool
3. Cream butter and sugar then beat in eggs
4. Sift dry ingredients and add to cream mixture Add dates vanilla and 12 cup chocolate chips
5. Spread batter in greased pan
6. Top with remaining chocolate chips and nuts
7. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
