Poor Man Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 c water
- 1 c raisins
- 2 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 12 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
Directions
- Boil water and raisins together until 1 cup remains let cool Add to juice and raisins with 12 cup salad oil and 1 egg slightly beaten Add nuts if desired
- Spread on large cookie sheet with sides grease cookie sheet
- Bake at 325 for 15 to 20 minutes
- Ice with icing and cut in squares
