Pop Up Bread
Ingredients
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 12 c white flour
- 12 c warm water
- 12 c milk
- 5 Tbsp cooking oil
- 13 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 34 c additional flour
Directions
- Stir dry yeast into 1 12 cups of flour set aside
- Heat water until just warm not hot
- Mix water with the milk cooking oil salt and sugar
- Stir until dissolved then add flour and yeast and stir until smooth
- Add eggs well beaten and slowly pour in 1 34 cups of flour stirring constantly until fairly smooth
- Dough may be a little tough
- Grease two 1-pound coffee cans well with shortening then fill each can with half of the batter
- Let rise to 1 inch from top of cans
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown at 375
- Remove bread from cans and allow to cool
