Popover Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 large onion
- 1 1 12 oz envelope spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 12 c water
- 1 8 oz pkg Mozzarella cheese sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Brown beef and onion drain
- Stir in sauce mix tomato sauce and water
- Simmer 10 minutes
- Spoon into greased 13 x 9-inch pan
- Top with cheese slices
- Beat eggs milk and oil until foamy
- Beat in flour and salt until batter is smooth
- Pour batter over meat filling spread to cover completely
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
- Bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown
- Cut into squares
- Serve while hot
- Makes 8 servings
