Porcupine Sausage Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 14 c uncooked rice
  • 1 tart apple diced
  • 12 c celery
  • 1 small diced onion
  • few sprays parsley optional
  • 1 c soft bread crumbs
  • 14 c chili sauce
  • 14 tsp dry mustard
  • 12 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Mix sausage and uncooked rice and shape into 8 patties
  2. Brown patties in covered pan with 12 cup water
  3. Mix apple celery onion and parsley with bread crumbs and seasonings
  4. Add filling between browned patties to form a loaf
  5. Bake in loaf pan at 350 for 20 minutes
