Pork Chops With Lima Beans

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops 34 to 1-inch thick
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour
  • shortening
  • 1 can lima beans
  • 1 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 c whole tomatoes drained
  • 12 tsp sugar

Directions

  1. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper
  2. Coat chops with flour brown on both sides in hot shortening
  3. Place lima beans in casserole dish sprinkle with onion
  4. Place chops on beans top with tomatoes
  5. Sprinkle with sugar
  6. Bake covered at 325 for 1 12 hours until chops are tender
  7. Liquid from tomatoes can be used during baking if necessary
  8. Makes 4 servings
