Potatoes And Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
- potatoes
- 1 lb sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 to 2 lb sausage mild
- 12 c milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Peel the potatoes enough to fill a 13 x 9-inch casserole bowl and slice as thin as possible
- Grate the cheese
- Brown the sausage
- Alternate the layers of each beginning with a layer of potato slices then sausage and then cheese
- Add the milk salt and pepper
- Bake in preheated 350 oven
- You may have to cover with foil
- For softer potatoes you may want to boil them for a few minutes before putting them in the casserole bowl
