Potatoes With Herbs
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp oleo divided
- 6 Tbsp finely chopped onion
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp dried basil leaves
- 14 tsp dried thyme leaves or dried chives
- 2 lb white potatoes peeled and very thinly sliced
- 14 tsp black pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425
- Combine seasonings
- Place 2 tablespoons oleo in nonstick skillet and melt
- Arrange 13 of potatoes in a circular pattern with about 14 of seasoning 13 onion and 2 tablespoons soft oleo
- Repeat layers 2 times
- Cover tightly with foil and press down
- Bake 20 minutes uncovered Bake 20 minutes
- Uncover bake 20 minutes more or until potatoes are tender
- Remove from oven press down with spatula
- Let stand 10 minutes remove to a platter
- Serve hot
- Makes 6 to 8 servings
