Prime Rib And Au Jus

Ingredients

  • 1 10 to 12 lb ribeye
  • chopped garlic in oil
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • good beef base

Directions

  1. Place whole ribeye on baking pan
  2. Rub both sides heavily with chopped garlic
  3. Cover both sides with black pepper then lightly salt both sides
  4. Bake with fat side up at 350 for 45 minutes then lower temperature to 175 and cook for 4 hours for medium-rare 6 hours for medium-medium well
