Prune Pudding

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pitted prunes
  • 14 c seedless raisins
  • 3 c water
  • 12 to 34 c sugar
  • 4 rounded Tbsp tapioca

Directions

  1. Put prunes raisins and water in a 2-quart saucepan Bring to a boil Keep just at boiling point and mash with a potato masher Add sugar Stir with masher Add tapioca one tablespoonful at a time
  2. Keep cooking and stirring for 2 or 3 minutes
  3. Pudding will thicken as it cools
  4. Serve with cream or half and half
