Puffy German Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 23 c flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 23 c milk
  • choice of toppings

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400
  2. Spoon 2 tablespoons margarine into a 10-inch pie pan
  3. In a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients beat until smooth
  4. Place pie pan in oven to melt margarine and heat the pan
  5. Pour batter into prepared pie pan
  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until edges are deep brown and puffy
  7. Loosen pancake with a knife or spatula cut into wedges
  8. Top with butter syrup powdered sugar jam fruit sauteed apples shredded cheese crumbled bacon or cubed ham
  9. Serves 4 to 6
