Pumpkin Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c shortening
• 1 c pumpkin
• 2 c plain flour
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp soda
• 14 tsp salt
• 34 c chopped pecans

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar
2. Add pumpkin and eggs
3. Mix well Mix dry ingredients
4. flour cinnamon soda and salt
5. Add to first mixture
6. Mix Add nuts
7. Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet
8. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes
9. Makes from 4 to 5 dozen
