Pumpkin Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 tsp nutmeg
  • 12 tsp ginger
  • 14 tsp cloves
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 can milk large
  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 2 eggs separated
  • 12 c pecans
  • 1 baked pie shell

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients
  2. Stir in milk pumpkin and pecans
  3. Cook in double boiler for 20 minutes stirring frequently
  4. Add beaten egg yolks and cook another 2 minutes
  5. Cool and put in pie shell Beat egg whites until stiff
  6. Fold in 12 cup of sugar and spread over top of pie
  7. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
