Pumpkin Pecan Cake

Ingredients
- 2/3 c. chopped pecans
- 3 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. pumpkin
- 2/3 c. water
Directions
- Grease and flour a 12-inch tube pan.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
- Cream together sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well.
- Add chopped pecans to dry ingredients, then add creamed mixture, folding together with pumpkin and alternating with water.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
