Quaker Choc Oat-Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c 2 sticks margarine or butter softened
- 1 14 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 12 c granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 34 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt optional
- 2 12 c Quaker oats Quick or old fashioned uncooked
- 1 12 oz pkg Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels 2 c
- 1 c coarsely chopped nuts optional
Directions
- Heat oven to 375
- Beat margarine and sugars until creamy Add eggs milk and vanilla beat well
- Add combined flour baking soda and salt mix well
- Stir in oats chocolate morsels and nuts mix well
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake for 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet remove to wire rack
- Cool completely
- Makes about 5 dozen
