Queen Elizabeth Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 14 c shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 12 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 c dates
- 1 c boiling water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 12 c walnuts
Directions
- Mix together sugar shortening egg and vanilla
- Add flour baking powder and soda
- Next add remaining ingredients
- Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done
