Queen ElizabethS Cake

Ingredients
- 1 c boiling water
- 1 c chopped dates
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c sugar
- 14 c butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 12 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 13 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 12 c nuts
- 5 Tbsp brown sugar
- 5 Tbsp cream
- 2 Tbsp butter
Directions
- Boil ingredients for 3 minutes
- Spread on cake and sprinkle with coconut and nuts
