Quick Cherry Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 c butter or margarine
- 1 12 c granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 21 oz can cherry pie filling
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar Add the eggs
- Beat until light and fluffy
- Add the almond extract
- Stir in the flour and baking powder
- Mix until smooth Butter a 13 x 9-inch cake pan
- Turn the mixture into the pan Spoon the pie filling into the cake in 16 spots spacing 4 spoonfuls evenly in each directions
- Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden
- Filling will sink into the cake while baking
