Ingredients

  • 12 c finely chopped onion
  • 1 carrot finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery finely chopped
  • 1 lb mild pork sausage
  • 2 to 3 lb hamburger
  • 1 c white wine
  • Salt
  • Basil
  • 1 48 oz can tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Saute onion carrot and celery in olive oil for 15 to 20 minutes Add meat cook and crumble Add white wine to mixture and continue to cook with lid on loosely for 1 to 1 12 hours Add tomato sauce salt to taste and basil Lightly cover and cook for several hours more Serve with pasta
