Raisin-Filled Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 c light brown sugar
• 12 c shortening
• 2 eggs
• 1 c sweet milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 tsp soda
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 4 c flour

Directions

1. Cream sugar and shortening
2. Add eggs and beat well
3. Sift flour baking powder and soda together
4. Add flour mixture alternately with milk and vanilla
5. Drop 1 teaspoon dough on cookie sheet
6. Dip bottom of teaspoon in flour use this to make a hole in top of cookie
7. Place 1 teaspoon filling in hole
8. Bake in hot oven about 400
9. This cookie can be frosted if desired Quick and easy
